Catch DJ STAKZ bringing the energy, culture, and nonstop vibes to the biggest celebration of Black culture and music during the 2026 ESSENCE Festival of Culture in New Orleans, taking place July 3–5, 2026 at the Superdome Stadium.
What is Essence Festival?
The Essence Festival of Culture is one of the largest celebrations of Black culture, music, entertainment, business, and community in the United States. It was created in 1995 by ESSENCE magazine to celebrate the magazine’s 25th anniversary and has since become an annual event held in New Orleans, usually during the Fourth of July weekend.
The festival is known as a “party with a purpose” because it combines:
* Major concerts featuring top R&B, hip-hop, gospel, jazz, and soul artists
* Inspirational speakers, activists, entrepreneurs, and celebrities
* Workshops and panels on business, health, beauty, politics, technology, and culture
* Black-owned business showcases and networking opportunities
The main nighttime concerts are typically held at the Caesars Superdome, while daytime events take place throughout downtown New Orleans. Attendance often exceeds 500,000 people over the festival weekend.
For 2026, the festival is scheduled for July 3–5 in New Orleans, with performers including Cardi B, Patti LaBelle, Kehlani, Latto, and the duo Brandy & Monica.
